Technology

Respond to that idea. What do you think about it? Do you think that teachers could be more effective if they used technology tools (think podcasts, web videos, online discussion forums, electronic assignment submission, tech-related project assignments)? Are modern students technologically inclined? What about being a student in Utah? Do you think that being in Utah keeps you a little behind-the-times as far as technology learning is concerned? Would YOU do better if more multi-media was used in your classrooms to teach and present, and for you to demonstrate your learning and communicate?

I think that technology is something that needs to be used more in school. I like it when teachers use the technology that we have to teach the class. I don't really like it when teachers use only slide shows though. I think that it gets boring and you get use to it. I like it when they are creative and come up with ways to teach the class but use modern things to do it.

I think that being in Utah puts us behind on somethings. We aren't set way back but, I think that we are behind on a few things. When I get out on my own I feel like I wont be as prepared as maybe some other people in the United State. I think that using technology helps me just because I can relate to it and I know how and what it is used for. We have the technology so we should really apply and use it.

TBTT Teacher-Student Relationship

Since we're reading Nothing But The Truth, which involves a boy who doesn't get along with a teacher, I want you to consider teacher-student relationships you've had in the past. Have you had teachers that you just got along with whether or not you did well in their class? Have you had teachers whose personality just didn't mesh with yours? Without naming names, expound upon these ideas and thoughtfully consider how personality differences or similarities have affected you in your classes.

I guess that everyone has a few teachers in there past that they just get along with. I have had many of these opportunities. I had so many great elementary teachers that I just got along with. I had a wonder teacher for 2nd and 3rd grade. She wanted you to excel and she would do anything to see that you did just that. She was a great teachers and I would never take back the years I spent in her class.

I had a wonderful teacher for 4th grade. She pushed you but she was never mean about it. I learned so much in that class and experienced more then probably any other class or teacher I have ever had. I love to learn and expand on all that I learn and that is exactly what she did. She gave us the power to succeed and I thank her for that.

Honesty

How important is honesty to you? Is it more important than kindness? Share a story of a time you or someone you know was not honest and it caused problems or was 'too honest' and it caused problems.

Of course honesty its important. If you lie a lot you won't have a lot of friends. The friends you do have might not like the idea of you lying to them if they do find out who you are. I can't really think of a time were I really lied to my friends. I do it when I am joking but I don't make up stories or lie to them really at all. I am a very honest person. Kindness goes a long with honesty. You aren't being kind if you lie to people. If you are honest then you are being kind to the people around.

I can only think of a movie called Confessions of a Shopaholic. She built whole relationship of lies with her friend and a man she cared a lot for. They all found out and she lost everything she cared about most except her family. When she realized what she had done she changed her life and got her friends back and the man of her dreams. In this movie you can really see what lying can do to you and the people you are around the most.

The world is ending

Describe what the food is, how long you'll wait to eat it, what it will feel like to know you're eating it for the last time. Will you share with your family? Will you hide it away until there's nothing else left? Will you eat it a little at a time or gobble it all at once? Describe every aspect of enjoying this last savory morsel of food.

I would get a huge gallon size can of apple sauce. Apple sauce is not only delicious but, it is also very healthy. It would keep me going and I might not have to eat so much of it. It is kind of juicy so there might be water and things like that in the yummy sauce.

I guess I would share with my family. I don't know how long it will last but if we ration it, it may go a long way. I would wait until all of the other food in the house is eaten and then go for it. I think knowing that that possibly be the last amount of food you get for a long time would help me so I wouldn't eat it so fast. It would really bite to be in a national disaster.

Super Power

Imagine that you have a superpower. The Power of Persuasion. You can convince anyone of anything. How would you use that power? What would you try to get, do, change? Would you use it for good? Or evil? Describe what the Power of Persuasion is.

If I had that power I think I would use it for good bu, maybe to others it would seem to be bad. I would try to get things from my parents. I think I would also convince my teachers to give me good grades. I would use it a lot in school. I think that would really help out.

I think the power of persuasion is the power to lead and take things into your own hands. You have to use persuasion if you are leading something or someone. You need to have that power in some jobs that you take on. You use that power in every day life. You are using persuasion in a lot of things you do .

EMI

Hello my name is Emo. I live on a musical farm. My job on this farm is to not only live here but also, to interact with the other animals on this farm. It may seem weird to get paid to talk to other animals but it is a very fun and exciting job.On the musical farm we have trainers. They go around and teach the other animals how to sing and what not. When we have all of our music down we go and preform for all the people.

I like this the best because Iget a solo every time. They say I have quit the voice I can sing as loud as they want me to. I can sing over almost anything. I may go very far with this. Maybe I'll go to New york and preform on Broadway. I think I would do really good in the Loin King or something else animal friendly. I love living on my farm.

Winter Break

Describe your ideal Winter Break. Where would you go? What would you do? Money is not an obstacle. If you could do anything you wanted, what would that be?

I think that my dream Winter break would be any where its not cold. I know winter break is the time where you can go out and play with snow and all, but wouldn't you want to be on beach where the sun is shining down on you and you are getting warm from your inside out. I think that that would be a good break.

Also, maybe I would go travel. We only have two weeks but, you can do a lot of things in a short amount of time. You could go to the other side of the world and back. Go take a cruise down to some tropic place at drink out of little coconuts. That could always be fun. You could go to Africa and chill with the Zebras. I think that whatever I would choose it would be a fun place.
