Secrets

Sometimes because of pride or ego or a mistaken idea, one person may not confide in another or tell them the whole truth. Have you ever been in a situation in which you didn’t want the other person to know something about you? You had something you wanted to keep secret? How did you act? Did the other person realize you were hiding something? How did your behavior change the way they acted toward you?

I really haven't had that experience. I guess I have been very open about most things. Like maybe I don't say something it but its not a secret because I never brought it up, so people don't know that I'm keeping a secret or not telling them something. I don't think that I act weird when I know something, well I hope I don't.

I guess that if I would to be keeping a secret I don't think I could do it for that long. I get to a point were I have to tell someone something, but I don't, even if they bug me. like if I promise I won't tell anyone or I just don't want anyone to know then I keep it a secret. I guess I don't have any juicy stuff that I wouldn't want anyone to know about myself.

Untamed

I choose this book because it sounded diffrent little did i know that it was a series. People said that it was a pretty a good book. I think that is might be good. maybe i will start to read

Edgar Allen Poe

It seems like reading Edgar Allan Poe stories around Halloween is a rite of passage for students in English classes. He wrote poems such as "The Raven" and "Annabel Lee" and stories like "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Black Cat", "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Cask of Amontillado", "The Masque of the Red Death", "The Pit and the Pendulum", etc.If you have read Poe stories before, which ones have you read and what do you remember of them? Did you like them? How scary/creepy were they? I have read some of his work a while ago. Actually is was like last year in English with Mrs.Eaquinto. It was a little scary. I remember reading this one about a man that buried someone in a cave or something like that. He built a wall around this guy well the man was drunk. Or something like that. She didn't read them to us, we went into groups and read them. Then she would explain what went on.

Also I think there was one were this man buried some dead person in the floor of his house. Maybe I am talking about someone else but I am pretty sure it was him. I really didn't like them. They are really creepy. He must have had something happen to him that made him think that way or something. I don't like creepy or scary things so his stuff is not my cup of tea.

Have you ever studied a skunk's eyes? Write about some item you find beauty in that many others might not.

I find beauty I guess in peoples hair. I think a person that always has their hair done and styled always looks good. Unless they do it way, way weird then it is a total turn off. I mean if your hair is to short to do anything with that is fine. Really though that is like the first thing I look at on anyone. I guess it is kinda weird but it is something that needs to be down to finish you off.

Also, maybe I find beauty in the way people smell. If they stinks then you don't really want to be around that person. So I think a good tip might be just to smell good. Maybe those might be kinda weird things but you got to remember I am a girl so I might notice stuff a little more.

DOG POINT OF VIEW

"How do you keep making the lights go on and off?" your pet might wonder.Write about you doing something in your house...from a pet's point of view.

How come you let that machine eat your clothes and make all that noise? Then you take the slobbery remains and dry them.Then you wear then again. WHY? Well I am just a dog but some things I just don't understand. I mean you put all those round things and scary looking weapons into a machine that waters them, then you take them out and put human food on it. I don't understand.

I don't understand how you can do all of this stuff and not be totally grossed out. It is rather weird if you ask me. It kinda freaks me out. Then also you clean and clean and clean then you let your crazy hooligans run around and mess it up and you just clean and clean and clean again.

Secret

Have you ever known a secret that you thought you should tell? Did you tell? If you've never experienced this, what do you think it would be like to know a secret that you think is dangerous?

Yes, I have known a secret and my parents found out about it and all of my sister got in a lot of trouble. It was a pretty juicy secret and we all knew that if my parents found out about it then my sister would be in a lot of trouble. We all got grounded and my sister got the worst of it, she couldn't go out for a month.

I think that if I knew a secret that was dangerous then it might drive me to go and tell but I really don't know. I am pretty good at keeping secrets because I don't like getting people in trouble. It would be my fault if they got in trouble, and I could loose a friend because they couldnt trust me anymore.

Nurse

Write a journal from the perspective of Romeo, Juliet, Friar Laurence or Nurse. It should take place after the end of Act II when Romeo and Juliet have been secretly married. Remember, you ARE this person writing what they would be thinking and feeling at this time.

That is is crazy and if her parents find out me and her will both be in A LOT of trouble. It is so exciting for me to see her find love. She wants to marry him so badly. What will her parents think? What will his parents think? Will they ever trust me again?O what did i do?

I think I might have done a good thing maybe it will cause peace with the two families. Maybe I really did a good thing. I was really funny when i was teasing with Juliet and wouldn't tell her but I don't think that she liked it as much as I did. She really just wanted to know and I just couldn't resist.

I hope that they will come back and see me. I was the one that basically raised her. She is like my own daughter. Maybe she is making a huge mistake and I was the one that helped her. What if this all ends in a huge fight and both families suffer from it. All I could do is just say I helped and they would be so anger with me.

Fate

9th grade:Do you believe in Fate? Are there certain things in life that, once set in motion, are inevitable; things that cannot be stopped once they are started? The story of Romeo and Juliet implies that the path of their love and what happens to them is part of Fate's plan. Do you think this is possible.

I think that it may be possible. I mean people do things that they might think are fate. Like maybe you move and you meet people that you were just suppose to meet, that might be fate. Maybe you might fall in love with someone that might be fate also.

Maybe it could happen if you really think, maybe they were destined to meet and fall in love and just so happen to kill them self in that time.I think that all that was suppose to happen so that the families would stop fighting. Maybe it was just suppose to happen. Then again it is just a story so it isn't real.

Romeo

I cant believe she never wants to get married. She is my dream women. I don't want anyone else. I cant wait to go to this party so I can see here tonight. It will make me so happy, even though she will never be with me. I don't think that I could love anyone else.

Benvolio is not right I don't think I will find anyone else. He is always trying to keep the peace and try to settle me down I sometimes don't like it. Maybe I will find someone which I don't think I will. I hope that I don't she is just so perfect no one can replace her.

True Love

9th grade:Define true love. Do you believe it exists?


I hope it does or my parents have been lieing to me all these years. I think that does or people wouldn't get all those butterflies they get when they see someone cute or talk to then for the first. But when you are a teenager its not love you are just deeply infatuated by another person. I think you are to young to know what love feels like.

I think that true love is when you come home from a long day and the dinner is already made. It could be walking into the house and all of the laundry is done. I don't think that you have to be old to know love. You love your parent and your sisters and your brothers. I think that a family is true love.

Superpowers

8th AND 9th grade:If you had one superpower, what would it be and why? (Hint: describe exactly what your power would be, why you would want that one, what you would use your power for, etc. Would you be good or evil? Would you use it just for fun or for a good cause?)

If I had a super power I think I would want to fly. I think that it might just be a very fun super power to have. You could zoom around and around and around. I don't think that it would ever get boring. I would have races with my other super hero flying buddies and we could zoom around and around and around. It would be a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I would be a good guy because good super hero's always lare liked more then the evil people. I think that I would mostly use it for fun though. I would try to go as fast as I could go. I would try to go around the world and back. That would be fun thing to do if I was very bored. Yup that is what I would do with me powers.

Shakespeare

9th Grade: What comes to your mind when you hear the words, "Now we're going to read Shakespeare!" Do you cringe in fear? Do you giggle with glee? What past experiences have you had with Shakespeare to make you react the way you do?

I have never read Shakespeare really ever in my life. I heard that it is really hard to understand. I don't really know how to respond to Shakespeare. I guess I might be happy just to start with it, I really don't know. Actually I think I might have read it. When we had leadership at the school we had to study it. I didn't really get it then and I don't think I will now.

I think that the fun part will acting out all of the parts. We will to see a different side of people. Also, I think it might be fun just to experience this part if English. It might just be the best thing ever!!!!!!!!!
